The Work to be done under the Contract consists of two parts: Part 1 - City Street Works and Part 2 - Winnipeg Transit Works. Part 1 includes alley rehabilitation on Bayne Crescent London Street Alley (Tu-Pelo Ave to Bayne Cres), Helmsdale Avenue Kimberly Avenue Alley (Golspie St to Raleigh St), and London Street McCreedy Road Alley (Tu-Pelo Ave to Amelia Cres); pavement rehabilitation on Sawchuk Bay (Antrim Rd to Antrim Rd) and Zeglinski Crescent (Zeglinski Cres to Wiebes Dr); and thin bituminous overlay on Chopin Boulevard (Uxbridge Rd N to Wiebes Dr). Part 2 includes construction of a multi-use path on Concordia Avenue (Gateway Rd to Moncton Ave) and London Street (Concordia Ave to Kimberly Ave), as well as transit stop improvements on Tu-Pelo Avenue. Major components of the work include full depth concrete joint and slab repairs, adjustment of existing catch basin and manhole frames and covers, adjustment of pre-cast sidewalk blocks, boulevard restoration and sod, boulevard excavation, placement and compaction of subgrade and base materials, placement of geotextile fabric and geogrid, renewal of existing sidewalks and curbs as required, installation of detectable warning tiles, construction of modified barrier and lip curbs, construction of curb ramps, construction of reinforced concrete transit stops and shelter pads, placement of asphalt pavement and overlays of specified thickness, installation of culverts, installation and adjustment of water valves and appurtenances, installation and connection of catch basins and pits, abandonment of existing drainage inlets, and relocation of existing fire hydrant.
