Site work for a civil project in Carthage, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The Town of Carthage is seeking qualification submittals from qualified Engineering Firms to perform professional services for a variety of capital projects within their infrastructure system. The scope includes funding assistance, engineering design, and construction oversight for water-main replacements in the Needmore community - approximately 800 linear feet on Old Glendon Rd and 705 linear feet on Kester Rd, totaling 1,505 linear feet. Existing 2" PVC water mains will be upgraded to 6" PVC. Additional project elements include water treatment plant improvements, pump modifications/well, modifications or replacement of an existing sanitary sewer pump station, and selected gravity and pressure mains. The selected firm will be responsible for all planning, design, permitting, bid management, construction administration, and funding administration required to comply with state, local, and funding agency requirements, including ARPA regulations. Minimum services include design and planning, permitting, contract administration, construction inspection, bid management, and project cost estimation. Interested firms must submit one hard copy and one electronic copy of a package containing: 1. Cover letter expressing interest and unique qualifications. 2. Project team information, including key personnel and subcontracting firms. 3. Office location(s) and split of work between offices, if applicable. 4. Resumes for project team members, highlighting relevant project experience with references. 5. List of example projects addressing the required infrastructure. 6. Project approach outlining the procedures for providing the services. 7. Explanation of availability to execute work and start immediately upon selection. 8. Standard hourly rate fee schedule for each proposed employee classification (no fee proposal at selection stage). The submission should be clearly marked and organized to facilitate review. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all submittals. Selection will be based on relevant experience, staff qualifications, and ability to meet project schedules and funding requirements.
