Site work and paving for a road / highway in Calexico, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The work includes grading base and subgrade preparation for installation of class II base, new asphalt concrete pavement, removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter, driveways, surveying work, utility adjustments, and traffic control. The contractor's surveyor must also survey areas of gutter without a proper drainage slope to provide a positive flow profile for gravity drainage, and submit these survey elevations (plan & profile) to the City Engineer for review and approval. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, and the name of the project. No bid will be received unless it is made on the prescribed bid form furnished by the Public Works Department and accompanied by a guarantee (cash, certified check, cashier check, or bidders' bond) made payable to the City for at least ten percent of the bid. Required documents include Proposal/Bid Form, Bid Bond, Proposal Agreement, Subcontractor's Listing, Workmen's Compensation Certificate, Drug/Alcohol Testing Requirements, Noncollusion Affidavit, and Corporate Certification Partnership Information. The unit price items and total contract price must be written in words and figures. Prevailing wage rates apply. Only bids from properly licensed contractors will be accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the City.
