Reference Number 0000413096 Wever School Demolition and Abatement Question Acceptance Deadline 02/26/2026 05:00 PM EST Questions are submitted online Yes The selected contractor shall be responsible for all elements associated with the safe demolition of the structure. In general, the scope of services includes, but is not limited to: 1. Acquisition of all necessary demolition permits and adherence to permit requirements; Miss Dig, etc. 2. Obtain all utility disconnect letters. In compliance with grant requirements, all utility terminations will be photographed during the open hole stage and then physically marked with a labeled wooden stake after backfilling. (Consumers Energy gas service retirement letter has been obtained dated 11/25/25; DTE Wrecking Clearance has been obtained dated 1/26/26; WRC water disconnect is in process. Sewer disconnect is still required.) 3. Erect fencing and silt fence as required by city of Pontiac. 4. Mobilization and Demobilization, including silt fencing, city Right of Way permits 5. Perform the specified abatement, handling and proper disposal of hazardous materials, universal waste, Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs), and AsbestosContaining Materials (ACM). 6. General conditions, including, dust control, street sweeping / road cleaning as required, site inspections, landfill fees, permits, permit fees, submittals, coordination, temporary security fencing for duration of project, and other activities as specified. 7. Water removal from basement(s) if necessary. 8. Removal of contaminated soil(s) if necessar9. Capping of sewer prior to demolition within the property line. 10. Remove site features and improvements, including paved sidewalks, driveways, and parking lot, and curbing, former concrete transformer pads, light poles and flagpole and associated foundations, miscellaneous debris, materials, and equipment in a legal manner and provide signed manifests, etc. 11. Perform the specified abandon/removal, cutting and capping of underground utilities, handling, and proper disposal. 12. Backfill and compact the areas where subsurface structures (foundations, basement, tunnels, pits, underground utilities) have been removed. Fill and backfill the excavated areas with clean Class 2 sand fill compacted. Proof of Class 2 sand fill must be provided to the OCLBA. Material must be free from organic matter, roots, clay lumps, or foreign debris. 13. Include site grading, filling, topsoil placement, grass seed and protection cover (straw) 14. The contractor shall submit copies of all landfill weight tickets and waste manifests or similar documentation to the OCLBA demonstrating that demolition debris was deposited in a landfill approved for receipt of such materials 15. Proof of Bid Bond 16. Provide licenses for: abatement contractor, associated inspectors, supervisors and any other subcontractors with bid or within 5 days of bid award. 17. Provide a detailed abatement / demolition schedule with bid.
