DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work to be done consists primarily of the furnishing of all administration, labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals required to complete the work in place for the new LBPD Crime Laboratory, all in accordance with the Contract Documents enumerated in the Contract and all in compliance with relevant laws, building codes and regulations set by the federal, state and local authorities. The new crime laboratory will be located on level 3 of the City-owned facility located at 125 Elm Avenue and will occupy a space of approximately 14,240 square feet. The new crime laboratory will include a latent print, wet chemistry lab, toxicology lab, firearms lab, reagent lab, evidence processing lab, evidence imaging, combined instrument lab, chemical storage, vestibules, PRT tank room, restroom upgrades, along with administrative office space. The project scope also includes upgrades to the common areas at this facility and the installation of a new underground sewer lateral drain that will be connected to the public sewer main located on 1 st Street. A 10% combined SBE/VSBE/LSBE goal has been assigned to this project.
