Renovation of a municipal facility in Newberg, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The work consists of the reroofing of Newberg City Hall. All bids must be submitted on the bid forms provided to bidders, in a sealed envelope clearly marked "City of Newberg - City Hall Roofing Project" and including the name and business address of the bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by an unconditional cashier's check, certified check, or surety bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. Bidders must obtain bid documents from the Hmk Company website. Any objections or comments upon the bid specifications must be submitted in writing and received at least seven calendar days before the bid closing date. Bidders must be licensed by the Construction Contractors Board of the State of Oregon and must indicate whether they are an Oregon resident bidder. Compliance with ORS 279C.370 regarding submission of the first-tier subcontractor disclosure form is required if the contract amount exceeds $100,000. The project is subject to prevailing wage laws and BOLI wage rates, as well as requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act. The City of Newberg reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities, and postpone the award of the contract. All bids and prices quoted shall be firm for sixty days after the bid closing date.
