The purpose of this RFQ is to select a shortlist of qualified Contractors to undertake the implementation of the project described in this document. The Elk Island Catholic Schools (EICS) requires a Prime Contractor to manage the replacement of the Boilers at St. Martin Catholic School. EICS requires contractors that are experienced in this type of work, performing construction on active school sites and understands the need to meet completion milestones in order to facilitate the respective school year. The scope of this project contains the following: 1. Consolidation of two separate boiler plants in the school - one with two boilers (serves the original school and the "tower" portion and one with a single boiler (serves the 1981 expansion which is mostly comprised of the gymnasium). Demolish both plants and build a new single plant in the 1981 mechanical room. New combined plant is approximately 4000 MBH. 2. Provide new primary pumps, secondary pumps, expansion tanks, and hydronic trim. 3. Provide new DDC controls (flat spec schneider to be consistent with our enterprise system). 4. Provide new electrical breakers, feeds, motor starters. 5. Demolish the existing DHWTs. The project scope is similar to the boiler consolidation scope - existing has two distinct systems each serving a specific area. 6. Rebuild a new, common DHWT plant and recirculation system in the "tower" mechanical room. 7. Provide interconnecting pipe to unite the heating systems. 8. Provide interconnecting pipe to unit the DHW systems. 9. Provide manufacturer certified start-up and commissioning for major equipment. Provide start-ups as necessary for complete and functional mechanical systems. 10. Provide owners training.
