The request is for material pricing for the 2026 construction season for crushed stone. Pricing must include all costs necessary to produce a compliant product and have it available for County pick-up at the provider's location (FOB provider’s address). This includes labor, material, equipment, fringe, overhead, direct and indirect costs, taxes, shipping, delivery, supervision, project management, supplier, receiving, loading, and all other costs needed to provide the materials in accordance with the solicitation, specifications, references, and plans. Specifications provide general performance criteria for the project. No proposal may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days from submission date. Project schedules will vary based on County priorities and bidder availability, with projects beginning as early as April 1 and mostly complete before November 24, 2026. Projects are partially funded by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation's Local Road Improvement Program and local authorities. Columbia County may waive informality, reject any or all proposals, or award the project as deemed most advantageous and satisfactory. Bids must be marked “Crushed Stone” and include a completed bid document, acknowledgement of addendums, a copy of current insurance certificate, and proof of prior experience (list of completed projects with contact names). Bid specifications are available at the Highway and Transportation Department or electronically via Onvia Demandstar. Vendors must register to access documents or may contact the department or Onvia for assistance if they lack internet access.
