Bid Intent Not Available The work for this project includes, but is not limited to the following: Three separate work sites located on Scott Street, Asbury Court, and East Willowbrook Drive; all of which are City of Burlington maintained streets. Installation of new 2-inch copper pipe valves and appurtenances. Installation of new 6-inch ductile iron pipe, valves, fire hydrant, and appurtenances. Flushing, pressure testing, and water purity sampling of waterlines. Switching water service connections at existing meters from the existing to new waterlines. Removal and disposal and replacement of asphalt pavement. Traffic control and erosion control measures. Some unsuitable soils and minor rock excavation may be encountered. Site grading, cleanup and restoration, and seeding and mulching. Question Deadline 03/11/2026 at 5:00 PM ET Questions are submitted online Yes City of Burlington requires the Project to be at Substantial Completion within ONE HUNDRED FIFTY (150) CONSECUTIVE CALENDAR DAYS from date of Notice to Proceed and at Final Completion ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY (180) CONSECUTIVE CALENDAR DAYS from date of Notice to Proceed. Project site milestone durations in CONSECUTIVE CALENDAR DAYS from date of mobilization to the project site are listed below in Table 1: Project Site Specific Milestone. Buyer Preferences, Guidelines & Requirements General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Contractors License Required - Installation Required - License Required - Safety Standards Plan Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % No Bid shall be considered or accepted unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a deposit of a certified or cashier's check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. The check shall be made payable to City of Burlington. Said deposit shall guarantee that the Contract will be entered into by the successful Bidder if the Award is made. Such deposit of certified or cashier's check may be held by City of Burlington until the successful Bidder has executed and delivered the Contract Documents, including performance and payment bond, to City of Burlington and returned or kept in accordance with North Carolina General Statute 143-129. Bids shall be submitted under a condition of irrevocability, except as required by law, for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the Bid opening. City of Burlington reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive any and all informalities, and to disregard all nonconforming or conditional Bids or counter Bids, and to accept the Bid that will be in the best interest of City of Burlington.
