Renovation of a stadium in Mankato, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium.

The project consists of replacing the existing Hockey Arena Audio System originally installed in 1995. The main sound system speaker coverage includes six primary line array locations for east and west bleacher seating coverage. Each of these locations also includes a subwoofer and a full-range speaker rotated to cover the ice floor. Two entry zone speaker hanging positions provide coverage for the south end of the bleacher seating. Cabling between equipment rack location and speaker locations will be installed, terminated, and tested. All existing equipment to be demoed and new equipment installed at manufacture specifications. Hockey Arena Audiovisual System Improvements :- 1 Civic Center Plaza Mankato, MN 56001 Question Deadline 03/12/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to the Facilities Manager in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the Facilities Manager in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the Facilities Manager as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. All system controls components shall be installed to manufacture installation specifications. - The speaker package listed comprises part of a full sound system upgrade for the facility. Bidders are advised that there are no substitutions allowed to make/model in the bill of materials. Certified custom rigging and installation is to be provided by Stafford Installations, unless the bidder provides certified and stamped engineering documents showing an acceptable alternative design and method. - For questions regarding overall system design bidders must contact Electronic Design Company 612-355-2300 - For questions regarding rigging design, certification and installation bidders must contactvStafford Installations 612-366-5308 - Any work that will lead to a disruption in service must be scheduled a week in advance with written notice to the City. Upon the City's approval, the work can be completed on the scheduled date. If the notice is denied by the City, the contractor and the City will find a mutually agreed upon date to complete the work. - Upon completion of the project, (1) digital copy of all equipment operation, maintenance and installation manuals must be sent and received by the City for their record keeping. - Contractor will set up an owner's training with a manufacturer's representative on the audiovisual system. Training date is to be coordinated with City facility staff. Any costs associated with training must be included in base bid. - All devices are commissioned and fully tested with Electronic Design Company in observance. - Contractors shall uphold a 1-year warranty on all labor and equipment, including a 120-day special service warranty. The 1-year period will begin upon substantial completion of the project, Substantial Completion Date August 1, 2026. The special service warranty for the first 120 days is if audiovisual systems become inoperable, the contractor will provide a response time not exceeding 4 hours for correction. Hockey Arena Audiovisual System Scope Of Work - The main sound system speaker coverage includes six primary line array locations for east and west bleacher seating coverage. Each of these locations also includes a subwoofer and a full-range speaker rotated to cover the ice floor. - Two entry zone speaker hanging positions provide coverage for the south end of the bleacher seating. - Cabling between equipment rack location and speaker locations will be installed, terminated and tested. - Each speaker location will require multichannel, 10AWG cable homerun and a custom interconnect box mounted atop the rigging frame. Speakon cables will connect between speakers and the interconnect box. Short Speakon cables will bridge between speaker pairs as shown in schematics. - Interconnect box will provide stain relief collar for multichannel speaker cable and (5) Speakon panel-mount connectors. - Removal of existing speaker components, rigging and cabling to be performed after the new system is fully tested and commissioned by Electronic Design Company (EDC) and approval by the client. - Removal of existing speaker clusters, wiring and amplifiers, provided either by Stafford Installations or other qualified rigging contractors. This work may only be done after commissioning the new sound system by Electronic Design Company and approval by the client to proceed. - EDC is to provide system headend components (DSP, amplifiers, rack, power conditioning, control panels, network switches), programming, commissioning and training. The Bidder will be required to coordinate their installation efforts with EDC as necessary to ensure smooth, efficient installation. - All documents provided by either the Owner, Operator or Architect are for reference only. All dimensions, weights and layouts are to be confirmed by the vendor and incorporated into the shop drawings. The vendor is responsible for providing a complete working system as intended. Any item or items missing from information provided to the vendor does not relieve the vendor from - Coordinate all work associated with the installation of speaker systems. Alternative Bid Item: The Bidder shall include a separately priced section in the bid to include the following: - (2) Category 6 cable runs from each of (3) wall plates to the nearest IT closet. - Wall plate/box locations are: A. NORTH (near main AV system interconnect). B. WEST (vomitory, near entrance). C. SOUTH (near main entrance). - Coordinate exact locations with EDC and Owner. - Cables should be suspended above the ceiling where possible and surface mounted raceway should be installed over any areas where this is not possible. - A service loop of 25' shall be left coiled on the floor of the destination IT closet, EDC and the Owner's IT personnel will terminate and connect. A. Terminate the 2 cable runs at each. - 2-gang enclosure, 18" above finished floor. - Faceplate of the enclosure shall be black anodized aluminum and include (2) Neutrik NE8FDY-C6-B Ethercon connector. - Coordinate connector labeling with EDC and Owner.
