Site work for a transportation facility in Keokuk, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

This item shall consist of furnishing and installing power cables that are direct buried and furnishing and/or installing power cables within conduit or duct banks per these specifications at the locations shown on the plans. It includes excavation and backfill of trench for direct-buried cables only. Also included are the installation of counterpoise wires, ground wires, ground rods and connections, cable splicing, cable marking, cable testing, and all incidentals necessary to place the cable in operating condition as a completed unit to the satisfaction of the RPR. This item shall not include the installation of duct banks or conduit, trenching and backfilling for duct banks or conduit, or furnishing or installation of cable for FAA owned/operated facilities. Project No. MEC 2024002617-001 This project involves the reconstruction of Taxiway A & D lighting at the Keokuk Municipal Airport. The work includes construction staking, mobilization, traffic control, removal of existing lighting and cable, installation of new L-861T(L) MITL lighting on new bases, installation of new L-858(L) guidance signs, vault building modifications, removal and replacement of constant current regulator, directional boring, existing system protection, and seeding and mulching. Last day for questions: Friday, 6th day of March 2026. Answers due to bidders: Monday, 9th day of March 2026 Instructions to bidders include: - Bids must be filed online at QuestCDN.com by the designated deadline and accompanied by a Bid Bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, using the provided form. - In lieu of a Bid Bond, a certified check, certified share draft, or cashier's check from a qualified bank or credit union is acceptable. - The bid security will be retained as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute a contract or provide acceptable performance bonds or insurance certificates within fifteen calendar days after acceptance. - Contractors and subcontractors must obtain tax exemption certificates from the City for this project and provide lien waivers before final payment. - The contract work must follow the provided phasing and schedule, with liquidated damages applicable for delays. - The project is subject to Davis-Bacon Act wage requirements, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation, and several federal provisions including Buy American Preferences and Affirmative Action. Preference will be given to Iowa products and labor as allowed by law. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder submitting the lowest acceptable bid, regardless of local preferences other than price. - Access to complete bidding documents is available online.
