Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Keokuk, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Intersection improvements that include traffic signal pole replacement, pedestrian indication updates, and sidewalk reconstruction. Sealed proposals for this work must be filed before the specified deadline. Each bidder must provide bid security equal to 5 percent of the total bid amount. The successful bidder must execute a contract and furnish acceptable Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bond, or provide a Certificate of Insurance within ten days after acceptance of the bid. Project documents are available for a refundable fee if returned in reusable condition within fourteen calendar days after project award. Bidders shall not include sales tax in the bid. Preference is given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, to the extent required by law. All work under the contract must be completed by the stated completion date; liquidated damages apply for late completion. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or technicalities in any bid.
