Plans call to construct a new 34,500 square foot police station that will replace the current outdated facility. The project will relocate police operations to a central site within a repurposed former commercial property. The new facility will provide expanded operational space, improved security, and upgraded technology. Administrative, investigative, detention, and evidence functions will be consolidated under one roof, with flexibility for future expansion. As of March 20, 2026, the project remains in the preliminary design phase, with full design work expected to continue throughout 2026. A tentative contractor bidding period is planned for 2027, followed by the start of substantial construction later that same year. Firm dates have not yet been finalized.
