Renovation and adaptive reuse of the Wabamun Civic Center in Wabamun, Alberta. The primary scope of this project is the relocation and renovation of the existing Wabamun Library, currently located at Jubilee Hall (5132 - 53 Ave), into the former Council Chambers within the Wabamun Civic Center (5217 - 52 Street). The existing Council Chambers (Room G05) in the Wabamun Civic Center will be converted into the new library, while the existing Meeting Room (Room G04) will serve as an extension of the library and function as an activity space for library programs or third-party use. The room currently features a slidable partition wall, which will remain in place to separate the two spaces when required. This new activity space will also be available as a rental space. TIMELINE: The owner is seeking the services of a qualified multidisciplinary design team to act as prime consultant for the provision of architectural design services. The successful proponent will be responsible for providing full architectural design services, including the coordination of all associated engineering disciplines, to support the renovations. The design team will be responsible for delivering all required design and engineering services necessary to complete the library renovation, including planning, design development, construction-ready documentation, and contract administration during construction.
