Site work for a water / sewer project in Exeter, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Separate sealed bids are requested for the construction of Groundwater Supply Improvements. Completion time for the project is calculated from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed: 300 calendar days for substantial completion and 360 for final completion. If Alternate 1 is accepted, these periods increase to 360 and 420 days, respectively. Liquidated damages will be $1,000 per day for delay in substantial completion and $500 per day for delay in final completion. Each general bid must include a 5% bid security. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and execute the contract within 10 days of acceptance. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after opening. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held. Bidders may direct questions to the consulting engineer 7 days prior to bid opening. Contract documents can be examined at listed locations or obtained electronically. Contractors must be on the maintained plan holder list to be eligible to bid.
