The Yuma City Council considered an ordinance on February 4 authorizing the Housing Authority of the City of Yuma to purchase 7.64 acres at 221 E. 26th Place in Yuma, Arizona for development of Vista Apartments, a three-phase, 200-unit affordable multifamily housing community. The Housing Authority intends to establish a nonprofit ownership structure to pursue Low-Income Housing Tax Credits through the Arizona Department of Housing and may enter into a development consulting agreement with Gorman & Company contingent on approval of the ordinance.
