The intent of the Contract is to provide for the construction and completion in every detail of the work including the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to complete same in accordance with the Procurement Documents. 2.1 The work consists of a constructing a new section of force main in accordance with the plans and technical specifications package that were prepared by Tetra Tech, Inc. which may include, but are not limited to: o Mobilization/demobilization o Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) incidental to the construction o Site surveying (easement line identification and construction staking) o Clearing and grubbing o Removal and disposal of all materials generated and disposed of at a proper disposal site o Excavation, earthwork, and grading o Testing o Force main installation o Utility coordination o Installation of silt fence and other erosion control measures as required o Installation of sod o Complete restoration of construction site o Secure necessary paperwork to access private property when needed o Permits o As-built survey 2.2 Detailed plans with estimated quantities and specifications, are annexed hereto for bidding and construction purposes, and incorporated as Bid and Procurement Documents. 2.3 The Contractor must provide their own equipment and resources necessary for the operation. The Contractor must take precautions to protect private property, structures, equipment, and adjacent facilities from damage that might be caused during construction. Any damage caused by the Contractor in the performance of his work shall be repaired by the Contractor at no cost to the County.
