Substation 902 Switchgear Replacement Project Switchgear Procurement Question Deadline 03/13/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered The work includes providing a 13.8kV metalclad switchgear housed in a climate-controlled enclosure, with 13 - 13.8kV circuit breakers and associated potential transformers, fuses, protective devices, batteries, and AC and DC supply equipment for the replacement of the existing metalclad switchgear. The equipment will be installed by others under a separate contract at Substation 902 located at 1711 Industrial Road, Nebraska City, Nebraska. Each proposal must be sealed in an envelope marked "BID FOR SWITCHGEAR PROCUREMENT FOR SUBSTATION 902 SWITCHGEAR REPLACEMENT PROJECT". Each bid must be accompanied in a separate envelope by a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check drawn on a State of Nebraska or federally chartered bank, or a certified share draft on a State of Nebraska or federally chartered credit union, in an amount not less than five percent of the total value of the Proposal, and made payable to the Buyer as a security that the bidder will enter into a contract for the work within ten days after award. Bidders may not withdraw their bids for sixty days after opening. Payment will be made not earlier than 31 days from final acceptance of the goods. If the successful bidder fails to execute a contract, the deposit will be forfeited as liquidated damages. Specifications and a proposed contract are referenced and available from P&E Engineering Co. Nebraska City Utilities reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities.
