Sealed bids are requested for grading a ditch, installing a culvert, and completing other related incidental work. The work site is located on the south side of K Road, starting at the intersection with Road 68 and continuing approximately 0.4 miles east in Otoe County, Nebraska. The project, known as "Nebraska City South, C-66(693)," includes all labor, materials, transportation, and equipment necessary for about 0.4 miles of channel grading and stabilization, culvert installation, and related tasks. The contractor must maintain at least one lane of traffic open on K Road throughout the project duration. Bidders must submit their proposals on forms provided and include an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the County Treasurer of Otoe County, Nebraska, for five percent of the total bid. A Start of Construction and End of Construction date are required with the proposal. The contractor will be allowed fifty calendar days for completion after starting work and not later than their proposed completion date, with possible extensions for weather as determined by the Engineer. Within ten days after contract award, the successful bidder must provide a surety bond equal to or greater than the contract amount.
