Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lewiston, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; water / sewer project; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The work for the CENTRAL AVENUE ROAD REHABILITATION shall consist of, but not be limited to, the complete and satisfactory construction of installation of: - 404 LF 6" SDR35 PVC Perf Pipe (or HP Storm) - 230 LF 12" SDR35 PVC Solid Pipe (or HP Storm) - 2,040 LF 12" SDR35 PVC Perf. Pipe (or HP Storm) - 15 EA 4' Dia. Catch Basin, Frame, Grate - 1,650 Ton, Machine-Placed 19.5mm HMA - 550 Ton, Machine-Placed 12.5mm HMA - 250 Ton, Hand-Placed Pavement - 1,100 CY Aggregate Base (Roads, Sidewalks, Driveways) - 2,900 LF Slipform Concrete Curbing Work will include stripping, shimming, & repaving the existing road from Campus Avenue to Russell Street. The scope also includes installing curbing & paved sidewalks on the easterly & westerly sides of the road, replacing two seasonal water services, and removing & replacing the existing stormdrain infrastructure. No Proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, made out in favor of the City of Lewiston. All bid securities will be released upon deliverance of a signed Contract or, if no Contract award is made, within forty-five (45) days after the opening of the Proposals, unless forfeited as herein stipulated. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, preferably executed on AIA Bond Form Number A311, in an amount equal to the total Contract price, of a surety company satisfactory to the Purchasing Agent, will be required of the successful bidder to ensure completion of the work and the proper fulfillment of the conditions of the Contract. The total Contract price shall mean the total bid price as stated in the Proposal based on the estimated quantities of the various items of work.
