The project involves the replacement and upgrade of Doors #9 and #11 at Vanderlyn Hall at SUNY Ulster Community College. The scope of services for the General Construction contract includes selective demolition, asbestos abatement, metals, interior construction (including new insulated aluminum and glass curtain walls and doors, frames and hardware, gypsum wall assemblies, and acoustic ceilings), as well as electrical work (including lighting, equipment connections, and access control). Refer to the Project Documents (Project Manual and Drawings) for the entire scope of work. The project is scheduled to be substantially completed by the specified completion date. The bidder or its principals must have a minimum of five years of experience in similar work and provide on the Minimum Qualifications Form a list of five contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity to this Project completed or substantially completed within the last ten years. Projects with complex technical specification sections may require additional experience. All proposers must comply with New York State business registration requirements and, if providing professional engineering services, obtain a Certificate of Authorization to Provide Engineering Services in New York State from the State Education Department. Submissions must be in the full legal name of the proposer, or the full legal name plus a registered assumed name, if any. Additional requirements include Contract Security, EEO/AA Insurance, and completion of the NY State Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire. *The value for this project is based on a financial range of $350,000-$420,000. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
