Honolulu Zoo Orangutan/siamang Renovations; Job No. 25-p-13. The work is to be performed on Oahu. Estimated cost: $549,000.00. Question Deadline 03/06/2026 Requests for clarification regarding this bid solicitation shall be directed to Rosario Sambueno of the Division of Purchasing by email to bfspurchasing@honolulu.gov. That the time of completion for the Basic Bid shall be within three hundred sixty five (365) consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed Scope of Work: Orangutan/Siamang Renovations include, but not limited to, the following: 1. Selective demolition. 2. Construction of new concrete walkway and slab on grade. 3. Construction of new siamang night holding includes new CMU walls, concrete roof with gutters and downspouts. 4. Night pens also include welded wire mesh interior walls, windows and doors with framing, shift door, guillotine doors, food chute, and animal blood draw portal. 5. Construction of new day pen includes installation of chain link fence and framing, keeper access door, shift door, and transfer cage gate. 6. Electrical improvements include new electrical panel box, outlets, switches, interior and exterior lighting. 7. Plumbing improvements include new trench drain, hose bibs, water feeders, and vent. 8. Installation of new sheet metal guard along the perimeter of existing orangutan habitat.
