The work involves the 2026-1 CCMG Paving Program for Elkhart County, Indiana. Bidders must submit proposals properly and completely executed on forms furnished by the County, in accordance with Revised Indiana Form 96, and accompanied by the Contractor's Financial Statement for proposals of $5,000 or more. The proposals must include an itemized list of approximate quantities and components of labor and materials to complete the contract on standard bid sheets provided by Elkhart County, signed by an authorized representative, and this sheet must be the first page of the submittal, or the bid may be rejected. Each proposal must include a non-collusion affidavit. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the project's title and the bidder's name and address. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Indiana Department of Transportation, with proof submitted with the bid. A satisfactory bid bond equal to 10% of the bid, payable to the Board of County Commissioners of Elkhart County, must be included. No bids may be withdrawn for 30 days after the scheduled closing time without the Board's consent. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive informalities. Work may begin on April 20th, 2026 and must be completed by July 2nd, 2027. Delays will result in liquidated damages of $1,000 per day per item past the completion date or any intermediate dates noted in the specifications.
