Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project involves the design and construction of sidewalks for the City of Peachtree Corners. The sidewalks will be constructed along SR 141/Peachtree Boulevard from Winters Chapel Road to Jones Mill Road (10,300 linear feet, south side) and SR 140/Jimmy Carter Boulevard from Atlantic Boulevard to West Peachtree Street (3,900 linear feet, west side) for a total of 14,200 feet. The plans must go through the GDOT Special Encroachment Permit Process but do not need to follow the GDOT Plan Development Process. All design and construction plans must be prepared according to AASHTO, GDOT, and Gwinnett County Department of Transportation Design Policies. Scope of services includes: - Phase I: Survey & Data Collection as needed - Phase II: Construction Plans & Bid Documents (includes developing construction plans, coordination with utility companies, construction cost estimate, plan review, bid document package, response to bidder questions, preparation of addenda, coordination and attendance at bid opening, bid review, and preparation of recommendation letter) - Phase III: Construction Administration (includes contract preparation, pre-construction meeting coordination, response to questions during bidding and construction, contractor and utility coordination, review and approval of pay applications, periodic contractor operation review, final inspection, final punch list, and project close-out documents) Instructions to bidders: - Proposals must be submitted electronically (encouraged) or in hard copy, including an electronic version on a flash drive for hard copy submittals. Proposals must be marked with the proposing firm's full legal name and "RFQ 25-09 SR 141 and SR 140 Sidewalks." - Proposals must be valid for ninety (90) days following the opening date and cannot be withdrawn or modified after the deadline. - All proposals must be concise, typed, and limited to ten 8.5" x 11" one-sided pages, exclusive of the cover page, table of contents, and exhibits (such as addenda signature pages, project staff resumes, DBE commitment letters, and additional information on similar experiences). Exhibits may be 11" x 17" and folded to fit the proposal. Required font size is 12-pt except for exhibits and tables. - Each proposal must include: a cover letter, a GANTT chart-styled schedule, a list of anticipated project staff with functions and experience, and references for at least three similar projects completed in the last five years (including project name, description, key personnel, location, cost, status, and client contact information). - The City reserves the right to request clarification, reject any or all proposals, and make independent investigations regarding proposer qualifications.
