Renovation of an educational facility in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 168,000-square-foot educational facility.

The work consists of replacement of approximately 168,000 square feet of existing roof system, related flashings, and existing insulation at designated portions of the Marshfield Clinic Health System & Champions Hall building. All existing roofing in the area of work will be removed down to the existing deck. The existing roof systems include approximately 32,000 square feet of coal tar pitch roofing on lightweight concrete deck, approximately 48,000 square feet of built-up roofing on wood fiber deck, and 88,000 square feet of built-up roofing on metal deck. New vapor barrier, insulation, and a fully-adhered EPDM roof system will be installed. The project also includes removal of obsolete roof openings and rooftop mechanical units and replacement of existing skylights and clerestory windows impacted by the roofing work. All potential bidders must be certified by the Department of Administration prior to submitting bids. Bids from non-certified contractors will be rejected. The project uses a single prime bidding and contracting process. DFD will publicly bid applicable mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection divisions of work first, then the general prime contractor bids, which must include the successful MEP bids. Bids must be submitted as a PDF with required documents and signatures via the eBuilder Bidding Portal (preferred), by mail, or in person delivery. The bidder is responsible for timely delivery. A 10% bid guarantee is required. Construction records will be processed electronically. Bidding documents are available as electronic files from the Division's Projects Bidding website. Base bid will be received for a single lump sum for all work.
