Site work and renovation of a residential development in Hempstead, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The project involves the replacement of windows at 536 Front Street, Hempstead, NY 11550, under the jurisdiction of the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, Long Island DDSO. This work must be completed within 28 days of award. Attendance at a site visit is mandatory prior to submitting a quote. Bidders must review the detailed scope of work and any supporting documents. Quotes must include the attached quote proposal form and a detailed cost breakdown showing the materials (with a detailed breakdown of materials required), equipment costs, and labor costs according to project specifications and prevailing wage requirements. This is a NYS Public Works Project and prevailing wages must be paid. Vendors and subcontractors must be registered with the NYS Department of Labor, and a copy of the registration certificate must be included with the quote. Bidders must include a cost breakdown (materials, labor, and overhead) when submitting the quote. CR#: 2131812 Renovate Approximately 40 Windows throughout the House with Anderson 100 Single Hung Replacement Windows The vendor shall verify all measurement and quantiles, provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 28 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned and all materials secured at the end of each work day. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of project, before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: Contractor is responsible to verify all measurements and quantities 1. Work is to be performed according to scope and or plans provided. 2. Window replacement renovation is to include all typical work to have a 100% complete turnkey project. 3. Any changes to design must have prior approval from OPWDD Architect or engineer first. OPWDD is the AHJ for this site. 4. Supply and install all materials needed to complete current New York State codes and regulations. Equivalent substitutions allowed. 5. Remove all windows (approximately 40 units), window trim inside and exterior, flashing & Trim and discard off site 6. Supply and install Anderson 100 Single Hung Replacement Windows (pre-finished white interior), with screens and all hardware (or equivalent) 7. Supply and install all flashing and caulking required for proper weather tight installation. 8. Supply and install all window trim (interior and exterior). Cap exterior and paint Interior, all colors to match new windows 9. Patch and paint any areas disturbed by installation. 10. Contractorisresponsible to provide all paperwork / documentation orthird-party inspections upon completion as needed. 11. All Voids/openings to the house must be closed at the end of the workday to prevent outside debris or wildlife from entering the premises. Question Deadline 03/13/2026 Any vendor questions not asked during the site visit must be submitted in writing to: Brooklyn.CMM.Bids@opwdd.ny.gov within two business days of the site visit, Both questions and answers (if any) will be provided to all who attend the site visit via email by: March 17, 2026.
