The Monroe County School District is requesting bids for contractors to perform small-scale maintenance and construction projects for the Maintenance department on an as-needed basis. The scope of work includes furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary for these types of projects. Typical assigned projects will be less than $50,000 in total value, with individual task orders defining precise scopes, locations, and timelines. The contractor shall: - Provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment required to perform each project. - Maintain safe working conditions per OSHA requirements. - Protect existing structures and utilities. - Restore all disturbed areas to original or better condition. - Provide warranties on workmanship and materials. - Coordinate work with Maintenance Department staff. - Properly collect, contain, and remove all debris from the site. Typical project types may include wall, ceiling, door, concrete/masonry, handrail, and storefront/window installation, repair, or replacement. All work must be performed neatly and in a workmanship-like manner, maintaining alignment with existing building lines and structures. The contractor must keep worksites safe, secure, and clean, comply with material requirements for saltwater corrosion resistance, and obtain all required permits and inspections. Deliverables for each task include written estimates, material submittals as needed, proposed schedules, progress updates, final inspection support, punch list completion, and warranty documentation. Instructions to bidders include: - Required documentation: completed price sheet, experience documentation, references, licenses/certifications, signed forms, and proof of insurance. - Proposals must be submitted electronically through the School District's e-Procurement portal by the deadline. - Contractors must carry and maintain required insurance, name "The School Board of Monroe County, Florida" as additional insured, and provide a certificate of insurance. - Contractors must comply with all federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and permitting requirements. - Personnel providing on-site services are subject to fingerprinting and background screening requirements, must wear school-issued ID badges, and maintain at least two personnel with an active School ID onsite at all times. - All subcontractors must be identified and approved in writing, and supporting documentation provided. - Fraternization with students is strictly prohibited, and personnel must adhere to district rules regarding conduct, safety, and attire.
