The National WWII Museum in New Orleans will begin major renovations on its original flagship exhibit, The D-Day Invasion of Normandy, on February 25, 2026. The project modernizes the existing 8,000-square-foot exhibit with expanded galleries, immersive environments, new multimedia elements, interactive technology, updated scholarship, and newly displayed artifacts. Gallagher & Associates will lead the creative redevelopment. Completion is anticipated in 2027.
