Site work and paving for a civil project in Natchez, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of slope stabilization, construction of earthen berms, slope grading, and constructing a rip rap ditch. All works shall be carried out as per Standard Specification for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction of the Mississippi Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration. The entire project must be completed within 30 calendar days and the liquidated damages will be $200 per consecutive calendar day past the approved completion date. Bids shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank bid forms provided with the specifications and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the bid, execute contract and postperformance bond in the formand amount within the specified time. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities. Bids on the Project must be received on or before the period scheduled for the Projectand no bid can be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the Project for a period of sixty (60) days. Should a bidder find discrepancies in, or omissions from, the Drawings or Specifications or should be in doubt as to their written meaning, he should at once notify the Engineer and Architect, who will send a written instruction or interpretation to known holders of the documents.
