**As of April 22, 2026, the project was awarded to LaLonde Contractors, Inc. , with an awarded amount of $3,954,921.08.** The work under this Contract consists of the reconstruction of West Mitchell Street as 7" concrete pavement, on a 5" dense graded base of crushed stone or crushed concrete; with concrete sidewalk, concrete driveway approaches, landscaping, storm sewer installation, storm sewer relay, sanitary sewer relay, water main relay, building services, utility adjustments and all incidental items necessary to complete the work as shown on the Plans and included in these Special Provisions. Proposals from qualified contractors for street reconstruction No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond equal to at least 5 percent of the bid payable to the City of West Allis as a guaranty that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 10 days after the award of the contract. If the successful bidder so files the contract and bond, upon the execution of the contract by the city the check shall be returned. In case the successful bidder fails to file such contract and bond the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the city as liquidated damages. The West Allis Board of Public Works reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in bidding. Questions deadline: 02/20/2026
