Site work and paving for a civil project in New Berlin, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; water / sewer project; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform the work as called out on the plans. The work consists of either: pavement removal by milling, base repair, curb and gutter repair, manhole adjustments, and placing asphalt, or pulverizing, removal of excess pulverized material, grading, base repair, manhole adjustments, placing asphalt, watermain replacements, water service replacements, ditch regrading and restoration, and storm sewer installation/replacement. Bids will be received for a single prime contract and shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the bid form. Bids shall be submitted only through QuestCDN.com via the online electronic bid service, and all prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list through Quest CDN for bids to be accepted. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner. The bidder is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within 72 hours of the bid opening. The City of New Berlin reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three lowest bidders for up to 61 days after the bid opening, and no bids may be withdrawn for 61 days after the opening. Bidders must submit a bidder's proof of responsibility in accordance with the instructions to bidders and will be required to provide performance and payment bonds of 100 percent of the bid amount. The City of New Berlin reserves the right to reject all bids and accept the bid that is in the best interest of the City.
