Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Waxahachie, Texas. Working plans call for the construction of a 12,400-square-foot fire / police facility.
Qualified firms are invited to submit proposals to serve as Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the City of Waxahachie New Fire Station 1 Project, a new facility of approximately 12,400 sf to include four pull-through apparatus bays, day room, offices, open and private sleeping areas, kitchen, training room, watch room, fitness spaces, support spaces, restrooms, SCBA, laundry facilities, gear lockers, health room, and electrical closets. Exterior features masonry and metal panel cladding, pitched metal roofing, and some flat membrane roof, with an estimated construction cost of $9,900,000. Scope of CMAR services includes: Preconstruction Services: Cost Estimating & Value Engineering Constructability Review Design Budgetary Estimates Subcontractor/Vendor Procurement Strategy Assistance in development of a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Construction Phase Services: Construction Schedule Development Coordination with Architect/Engineer Quality control and safety Subcontractor contracting and administration Coordination of Owner Sourced Contracts for Technology/Low Voltage, Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment Cash Flow Reporting and Analysis Project Closeout Instructions to bidders include: Submittals must be electronic via OpenGov or as sealed paper responses with electronic copies on USB, clearly labeled and addressed as specified. Respondents must complete the Vendor Questionnaire & Submissions, including conflict of interest form, signed W-9, experience and qualifications details, professional references, financial stability documents, and fee proposal breakdown. Submit fee summary as described, provide completed insurance, bonding, and compliance documentation, and follow all response and contact requirements. No late submissions accepted; the process is governed by City and State laws and requirements, with strict standards for withdrawal, alteration, or correction of proposals. The City reserves the right to accept, reject, or split awards at its discretion. Contracts are subject to non-assignment, insurance, and bonding requirements, with provisions for contract termination and availability of funds. Specific forms, certifications, and documentation for legal and regulatory compliance are required as a condition of submission and award. Do not contact City personnel except as instructed; violations may result in rejection.
