Site work for a water / sewer project in Kenedy, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project generally consists of approximately 25 feet of 4-inch ductile iron (DI) pipe for water, approximately 180 feet of 6-inch DI pipe for wastewater, 42 feet of 1 1/2-inch flexible pipe for a polymer line, 14 feet of 4-inch flexible pipe for water connections, 33 feet of 6-inch flexible pipe for process water drainage, demolition of sludge drying beds as a bid alternate, and installation of a skid mounted belt press including electric work, post-construction restoration, and supplying all materials and labor for installation of the upgrades. Bids must be clearly marked as specified. Bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety must be submitted with each bid, or a certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Kenedy. Payment and Performance Bonds in 100% of the contract amount are required. Not less than the federally determined prevailing wage rate (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) must be paid. Bidders must not be debarred, suspended, or ineligible for participation in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and must have active SAM registration. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities. Bids may be held by the City for up to 30 days for review and qualification investigation.
