Site work and paving for a civil project in Battle Creek, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.

The work will consist of crushing, shaping, and repaving 6 Mile Rd from B Drive S to 1500 ft south of Boyd Dr. The project also includes culvert replacements, adding aggregate, shoulder reconstruction, new signs, slope restoration, and pavement markings. All work must be performed in accordance with the Michigan Department of Transportation's 2020 Standard Specifications for Construction or as modified by the general provisions and instructions. Persons wishing to submit a bid must use the forms from Appendix A and meet bid security requirements. Bid forms should be submitted to the Calhoun County Road Department. After bid opening, the decision will be made based on the best interest of the Calhoun County Road Department and Calhoun County. A preconstruction meeting will be held to finalize a progress schedule and determine execution and administration of the contract. Work shall begin on a date agreed with the Calhoun County Road Department. The open to traffic date for the work is August 28th, 2026, with final site restoration completed by October 2nd, 2026. Invoices for completed contract items should be submitted to the Calhoun County Road Department and payment will be processed within thirty calendar days of receiving the invoice. The contractor must certify that all subcontractors and suppliers have been paid before final payment on the contract is made.
