**As of April 9, 2026, this project has been awarded.** The work to be performed consists, in general, of constructing/reconstructing failed and damaged sections of existing curb, gutter and sidewalk, reconstructing and relocating drainage inlets, removal and replacement of deteriorated storm drain pipe, restoring and/or relocating traffic striping, legends and markers, constructing accessible curb ramps, and all other work as shown in the contract documents. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, cashier's check, certified check or Bidder's Bond made payable to the City of Citrus Heights in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount. No bid will be accepted unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the General Services Director and is for the entire work described. The successful bidder shall apply for and obtain at its costs any permits required for all work, except as otherwise specified in the contract documents. A bidder may propose one or more "equals" or substitutions for products listed in the contract documents by manufacturer name, brand or model number, unless the contract documents specify that the product is necessary to match others in use. Complete information for products proposed as an equal must be submitted to the General Services Director for review, at least ten working days before the time specified for bid opening in accordance with the instructions to bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish, prior to the performance of any work, a payment bond and a faithful performance bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the contract price, and a warranty bond in a form acceptable to the City in an amount of one hundred percent of the total contract price plus change orders, to be held good for a period of one year after completion and acceptance of the work. The successful bidder will be required to furnish insurance as set forth in the contract documents. The license classification required for this project is Class "A": General Engineering, Class "C-8": Concrete, and/or Class "C-12" Earthwork and Paving Contractor issued by the State of California. Each bidder, and any subcontractor listed in a bid proposal, must be currently registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and qualified to perform public work consistent with relevant Labor Code sections. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
