A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Work consists of stair, landing, large pad, and sidewalk removal and replacement on the Hillsboro campus. Jefferson College is soliciting proposals to lawfully contract for concrete repair and replacement on the Hillsboro Campus. Campus Concrete Repair and Replacement o This project includes removal, repair and replacement of concrete in the following locations: o Early Child Care Center o Field House Main Entrance Stair Landing (Landing only) o Fine Arts Building North-East Stair Landing (Landing only) o AS1 Building West Stairs (both entrances) o Early Child Care Center (North side) basketball court and sidewalk APPROX. 2000 sq ft of concrete replacement. o Remove existing concrete o Grade subgrade. Adding type 5 rock as needed to ensure 4 inches of rock o Compact using plate compactor or steel drum roller o Form and pour 4 inches 4000 psi concrete with fiber mesh o Broom finish o Include installation of basketball goal sleeve o Back fill, grade, seed, straw Field House Main Entrance Stair Landing (Landing only) o Excavate existing concrete landing o Install type 5 rock as needed to restore proper base o Compact base using vibraplate o Form and pour 4 inches of 4000 psi concrete with fiber mesh o Control joints to be tooled or early entry saw cut o Broom finish AS1 Building West Stairs (both entrances) o Excavate damaged stairs and remove handrails to be reinstalled o Form stairs as existing layout o Grade to ensure 4 inches of concrete at tread o Pour 4000 psi concrete with fiber mesh Fine Arts Building North-East Stair Landing (Landing only) o Excavate existing concrete landing o Install type 5 rock as needed to restore proper base o Compact base using vibraplate o Form and pour 4 inches of 4000 psi concrete with fiber mesh o Control joints to be tooled or early entry saw cut o Broom finish o Broom finish o Reinstall handrails Each bid shall include a five percent (5%) bid security in the form of a bid bond executed by the bidder and an approved Surety Company. All bidders must provide a sworn affidavit affirming participation in a federal work authorization program and stating that the bidder does not knowingly employ any person who is not authorized to work in the U.S. The contractor must comply with current Prevailing Wage laws and other statutory regulations as referred to in the specifications. This project is tax exempt. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at Building & Grounds.
