Pine Ridge Elementary School - 2026 Classroom Improvements Electronic media of the Drawings and Specifications in PDF format will be made available for a nonrefundable fee of $50.00. Please place an order and confirm in the comments section whether you would like a digital or printed set. Digitals can be paid over the phone by card. Copies of the Drawings and Specifications may be obtained from Repro Graphix, 14 N.W. 6th Street, Evansville, IN 46204, Phone: (812) 422-2400, upon depositing the sum of One Hundred dollars ($100.00) for each set. If paying by check, please make checks payable to Repro Graphix, Inc. The deposit will be refunded in full to any bidder or sub-bidder when the Plans and Specifications have been returned to Repro Graphix within four (4) days after the time set for receiving bids, in good re-usable condition. All mailing costs shall be paid by bidder. A mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting shall be conducted on-site. All interested Contractors shall report to the Cedar Crest Intermediate School located at 4770 IN-162, Huntingburg, IN 47542 and sign-in. After sign-in, Contractors will be taken to the location of the Work. SCOPE OF WORK: (General Description) Classroom Interior Finishes Improvements (Rooms A129, A130, A131A, A131, A132, A133, A134, A136, A137, A138A, A145 ) & Restrooms for Classrooms A137, 138A, A130: Also refer to all RFP documents and drawings for entire Scope-of-Work: DEMOLITION / PREP. 2. Removal and disposal of existing carpet, VCT, adhesive and transitions complete per new floor finish manufacturer's recommendations. 3. Remove existing vinyl wall base and mastic to expose smooth uniform surface. Note: Carefully remove existing vinyl base and mastic/adhesive without damaging existing wall finish. Damage to any existing wall finish shall be repaired at the expense of the Contractor and to the approval of the Owner's Representative. 4. Clean existing walls complete free of all existing adhesives, tape residue, etc. Patch and prepare all wall surfaces to smooth uniform surface. 5. Test existing floor substrate for moisture content. Provide and install all required moisture mitigation as required per floor finish manufacturer. 6. At locations where floor mounted water closets are present, disconnect flush valves, remove water closets to allow for existing floor finish to be removed and new floor finish to be installed. Prep waste drainpipe, install new wax ring and mounting fasteners and reinstall water closets and flush valves after new floor finish has been installed. 7. Neatly remove existing chalkboards from the walls. Trims, existing tack boards, and interactive board railings shall remain in place. Prepare walls for installation of new marker boards per the manufacturer's recommendations. Remove existing mastic/adhesive to smooth surface condition. Existing 'L' mounting clips can be reused if clips will align with new board frames. 8. Protect all existing window blind treatments from paint splatter, damage, dust, etc. 9. At locations where gypsum board meets CMU wall construction, remove existing cracked sealant at vertical joint and replace with new sealant. Paint sealant to match wall finish. NEW WORK 1. All colors and materials shall be submitted for final approval by the Owner prior to installation. Provide physical samples for Owner's approval. 2. Prior to starting any application of new paint finishes, the Contractor shall provide a "mock-up" of the selected paint color on one wall surface at a location in the Work area selected by the Owner for Owner's review and approval. Once approved, this area will be incorporated into the Work. 3. Install new flooring according to the manufacturer's recommendation. 4. Install new wall base according to the manufacturer's recommendation. 5. Install new wall finishes where indicated per manufacturer's recommendations. 6. Prep and prepare H.M. door frames for new paint finishes. Apply new paint finishes on interior and exterior of H.M. door frames. 7. Provide new rubber transitions strips where required. All new transition strips shall be secured by the use of epoxy based adhesive. 8. Replace all stained or damaged 2'x2' ceiling tile; match existing tile. (For the purpose of providing a price, Contractor's submitted price shall account for providing, replacing and installation of 144 pieces (576 sq. ft.) of 2'X2' ceiling tile). Any remaining tile shall be turned over to the Owner for attic stock. 9. Contractor shall field verify all quantities prior to ordering of materials. 10. Provide and install new markerboards with new 2" map rail, with flag holder and (10) ten adjustable hanger brackets. The existing tack boards and interactive board railings shall remain in place. If existing interactive boards/monitors are left in-place, cover the interactive board/monitor completely to protect it. Prepare walls for installation of new marker boards per the manufacturer's recommendations. All trims for new markerboards and existing tack boards shall be provided and installed. 11. Construction means and methods must be reviewed by the School Corporation prior to the start of construction. 12. Restrooms B111 (Girls), B113 (Boys) existing ceramic tile and grout shall be deep cleaned per manufacturer's recommendations. 13. In Boys Restroom B113, remove plastic anchors complete, patch holes to smooth uniform surface and apply paint finishes. 14. At entrances to Restrooms B111 and B113, provide rubber transition strip at existing tile aluminum Schlueter strip. Fastened rubber transition strip with epoxy adhesive. Prior to ordering of rubber transition strip, submit proposed transition strip product information to Owner's Representative for review and approval. 15. In Restroom located in B143, remove existing FRP board from behind water closet, patch gypsum board wall, refinish wall to smooth uniform finish and apply new finishes and base. 16. Restroom flooring for Classrooms A134, A137, 138A, A130: Resinous flooring; confirm final texture of finish with Owner's Representative. Final color selection shall be by Owner Contractor shall provide (2) 6"x6" Samples. Finish shall be adjusted as per Owner's Representative's direction at no additional cost. Resinous cove base shall match flooring finish. Texture shall be smooth; confirm final texture of finish with Owner's Representative. Contractor shall conduct all moisture testing and provide moisture mitigation if required as recommended by manufacturer.
