Renovation of an educational facility in Berwyn, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids are requested for roof repairs at Piper Elementary School, Project No. 25135. A performance and payment bond for the full contract amount and a bid security of 10% of the bid are required. All work must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, and contractors must pay laborers, workers, and mechanics at no less than the prevailing wage rates for the county. A written sexual harassment policy compliant with Section 2-105 of the Illinois Human Rights Act is required. Equal opportunity is promoted for all qualified businesses, with encouragement for diversified business participation. Bidding documents can be obtained from the specified provider. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is required for all interested bidders to be eligible. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, and to set aside bids from contractors without sufficient experience for the size and scope of the project.
