New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) invites law firms and lawyers to submit proposals for the provision of outside legal counsel services in connection with NYCEDC’s preparation of a land use application, which will include a number of discretionary actions subject to the City’s Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) for rezoning of the Project Area and other related matters. The required services demand deep knowledge of New York City’s Zoning Resolution, including precertification requirements for submission and drafting of zoning text and zoning map amendments through ULURP, as well as significant experience in interpreting, modifying, and amending City Planning Commission (CPC) special permits. Selection will be based on factors such as the quality of the proposal, experience of key staff, experience and quality of any proposed subcontractors, demonstrated successful experience in similar services, and the proposed fee. Submission guidelines and requirements are outlined in the RFP, and responses must be submitted electronically in a single .zip file labeled with the company name.
