Ross Elementary School Exterior Fencing consisting of: 1. Replace existing 6' high ornamental fence and door with new 8' high ornamental fence and door, contractor-furnished and contractor-installed. 2. Replace existing 6' high ornamental fence, gate, and door with new 8' high chain link fence, gate, and door, contractor-furnished and contractor-installed. CONTRACT TIME: 47 consecutive calendar days. ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $280,000. BONDING CAPACITY: Single bonding capacity must be 100% of the contract value. Question Deadline added as per Adda 2. Each bid must be submitted with bid security as described in the Instructions for Bidders. Bidder's security must be in an amount not less than 10% of the maximum amount of bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed Contract and provide all other required documents. Separate payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total Contract amount, are required. All bonds must be issued by a California admitted surety. Bidders must meet requirements regarding Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Programs. Any request for substitutions must be made at the time of Bid on the Substitution Request Form included in the Contract Documents. A valid and active Class B California contractor's license is required at the time of bid and throughout the duration of the Contract. Attendance at the pre-bid conference and site visit is mandatory for all bidders. The award of the Contract will be based on the lowest bid price on the base contract without consideration of the prices on additive or deductive items. The Project is a public work subject to all applicable Labor Code provisions, including registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations and payment of applicable Prevailing Wages.
