The work involves routine bridge and culvert inspections in specified geographic catchment areas, with mobilization and demobilization from points of hire in Smithers, Kispiox, and Fort Babine catchment areas. Field inspections are to be conducted at day rates, and data entry for each site is compensated per site inspected. Quantities listed are estimates only, and contract payment is based on actual quantities and unit rates provided. The contract is 'as and when needed,' meaning the volume may change by mutual agreement, but will not exceed a specified annual maximum. Miscellaneous works or addition of extra sites not captured in the original contract may be covered under a provisional sum, which is only to be used for work specified by the contract manager and requires written approval. No additional expenses will be paid. Invoices must include details of sites inspected, ordered and referenced by the point of hire, and payment is based on satisfactory completion as per the specified schedule. The contract may be renewed annually for up to three years by mutual agreement, subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. The contractor is responsible for determining accommodation availability in each area and must ensure compliance with invoicing requirements.
