Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Franklin, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the construction of a 640-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The project consists of the purchase and installation of a 20'x32' steel picnic shelter structure in the City Park at 1500 & P Street on the northwest side along 14th Street. The shelter is to be constructed of durable, low-maintenance materials, featuring a standing seam open gable roof of 24-26 gauge steel in dark green, and support frame beams of 12 gauge steel, 9'-10' in height. It must provide protection from the elements for six 8' picnic tables (provided by the City). Comparable substitutes will be considered and scored accordingly. The City will install a concrete pad extending approximately two feet beyond the shelter dimensions, 5" thick and reinforced underneath the specified support beams, following manufacturer recommendations. All work relating to this project must occur between May 11 and be completed no later than June 12. Interested companies must submit a bid including a timeline of performance, warranty if applicable, a picture or rendering of the product, and a cost quote noting detailed specifications. Bids will be scored based on cost in consideration of product quality and warranty/expected life, timeline plan and adherence to specifications, and proof of business enrollment with the Nebraska Department of Labor and Secretary of State. Only fixed price or not-to-exceed contracts will be considered. Selected companies, and all sub-contractors, must be registered with the Nebraska Secretary of State and the Nebraska Department of Labor. All work must comply with all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations and RCRP Program Guidelines. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and expresses preference for small and minority businesses, women’s business enterprises, labor surplus area firms, and domestic preference for procurements.
