The project generally consists of the removal of the existing rubber safety surfacing, milling of the existing hot mix asphalt sidewalk/patio, removal of benches and trash receptacles, restoration of the existing playground structure and swingset including the replacement of damaged and/or missing components and swing seats, installation of new hot mix asphalt sidewalk/patio, new rubber safety surfacing, decorative benches and trash receptacles, powerwashing of the existing concrete splash pad, and related work within the City of Bayonne, and all other associated work as contained in the Contract Documents or as ordered by the Engineer. Question Deadline 03/02/2026 Any and all such interpretations and any supplemental instructions will be in the form of written addenda to the specifications which, if issued, will be transmitted via fax or email, not later than seven (7) working days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes, properly marked, and accompanied by a certified check or cashier's check (or bid bond) in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not more than $20,000.00. Bidders must comply with all applicable New Jersey statutes regarding public works contracting, business and contractor registration, prevailing wage, worker health and safety regulations, and must provide the required certificates with their bids. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities, reject any or all bids, and award the contract based on available funds. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety company bond for the full amount of the contract price for faithful performance of the work.
