JCCC is accepting bid proposals for the replacement of an air handling unit (AHU) in the Library (LIB) building. Full project documents can be downloaded on the “Bid Documents” tab via ProcureWare. All inquiries regarding this bid must be submitted via the "Clarifications" tab accessible after registration and approval on the JCCC Bid Portal Procureware site. Bid Clarifications Due March 6, 2026: 5pm CST Question submitted eletronically The following is an outline of the scope of work for the removal of existing chilled water air handling unit and replacing it with new at the LIB Billington Library facility. Contractor shall include in bid all time, material and support services required for a complete and operational system(s). 1. The work on unit replacement must be started on December 15, 2026 and needs to have air handling unit fans running for heat purposes no later than January 4, 2027. 2. Remove and replace existing chilled water air handling with new chilled water air handling unit as indicated on mechanical plans. 3. Remove existing fan motor variable frequency drive and provide new variable frequency drives as indicated on plans.were removed. Controls contractor shall provide modulating actuator for minimum outside air intake control. 12. Contractor shall provide new chilled water piping as shown on plans. Piping material and insulation shall match existing. 13. Contractor shall provide new ductwork as shown on plans. 14. Contractor to field cut openings in new AHU casing at discharge duct connection locations in accordance with AHU manufacturer's installation requirements. At Contractor's option, Contractor may coordinate with AHU manufacturer to provide factory supply discharge openings, of exact sizes and locations determined by Contractor.
