# 476W - 2024 The work includes the installation of a new 8-inch diameter water main on Bryn Mawr Avenue in the City of Wickliffe. This involves fire hydrants, fittings, domestic lines, pavement repair, abandonment of the existing 6-inch water main, removal of existing hydrants, and various associated items. All work must be completed within 150 days of Notice to Proceed. Prospective bidders must purchase a Bidders Package to be considered. Bids must be accompanied by a bond for the full amount of the bid or a certified check, cashiers check, or irrevocable letter of credit for ten percent (10%) of the bid amount from a bank located in Lake County, payable to the Treasurer of Lake County. The successful bidder must execute the contract within ten days after award and provide a performance bond for the total contract amount. Each bid must contain the full names of all parties submitting the proposal and evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity. Contractors and subcontractors must comply with equal employment opportunity requirements and the appropriate prevailing wage rates under the Ohio Revised Code. The contract will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and to increase, decrease, or omit items as necessary.
