Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Davenport, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The proposed work includes all labor, materials, tools, supplies, utility and transportation services, equipment, and all incidentals necessary for the Davenport Quiet Zone Improvements. All work shall be done in strict compliance with the plans and specifications prepared by Snyder & Associates and City Staff. Bids must be submitted via the electronic bid system by the specified date and time. Prices in bids should be free of all sales taxes; a tax exemption certificate will be issued for construction materials incorporated into the project. For bids over $100,000, a Bid Bond of 5% of the bid amount is required and must be attached to the response. Awarded contractors for bids over $100,000 must furnish a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the contract amount. There are no working days for this contract; all work, cleanup, and equipment removal must be completed by the specified deadline. Liquidated damages are set at $1,000 per day. Manufacturers warranties and guarantees are required, and a Certificate of Insurance for General Liability, Workers Compensation, and Vehicle insurance must be included with the bid. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities. Contractors must ensure non-discrimination in employment.
