The work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of improvements at West Lake Park. Beach Road - The Beach Road Improvements project includes reconstruction of a 22' wide, 4,700' long 2-lane asphalt road that provides access to the northern portion of West Lake. The work includes removing asphalt pavement, full depth reclamation, installing new asphalt pavement, grading, and subgrade over-excavation to improve safety, drainage, and long-term durability. Additional work includes erosion control measures, surface restoration, pavement striping, and construction phasing coordination. There is one alternate bid for paving existing gravel lots with full depth asphalt pavement and a mill and overlay on an existing asphalt pavement parking lot. Park Terrace - The Park Terrace Campground project includes restoration of the existing campground road, removing and replacing 78 existing campsite pads, and constructing new full depth asphalt parking areas. Work includes milling and overlaying the existing asphalt campground road, removing existing gravel/HMA campsites, removing existing concrete pads, and installing new concrete campsites to improve accessibility, drainage, and long-term durability. The project also involves relocation of some sanitary sewer risers, installing a new storm drain and storm sewer, site grading, erosion and sediment control, and surface restoration. The north portion of the campground is the base bid and the south portion is an alternate bid. All work is to be done in compliance with the drawings and specifications prepared by Shive-Hattery, Inc. Instructions to bidders: Bidding documents can be examined at specified locations and obtained via the identified online portals or local vendors. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, payable to the Owner. The bids will be evaluated as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Work is to comply with "Buy America" requirements regarding domestic content preference for materials. The Scott County Conservation Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities.
