**As of April 9th, 2026, the project was awarded to CDMI Concrete Contractors, Inc with an awarded amount of $419,569.50** The work includes all labor, materials, tools, supplies, utility and transportation services, equipment, and all incidentals necessary for the Glaspell Street Rehabilitation Project from Rolff Street to Birchwood Court. All work shall be done in strict compliance with the plans and specifications prepared by MSA Engineering and City Staff. Contractors must complete all work, including final cleanup and removal of all equipment, by June 15, 2026, unless modified by Change Order. Liquidated damages are set at $1,000.00 per day. Bids must be submitted electronically through the specified system, with no paper, faxed, or emailed bids accepted. Prices should exclude sales taxes; a tax exemption certificate will be issued to the awarded contractor for qualifying material purchases. For bids over $100,000, a Bid Bond of 5% is required and must be attached to the bid package. Awarded contracts over $100,000 require a Performance Bond for 100% of the contract amount. Manufacturers written warranties and guarantees are required from the awarded bidder. Bidders must submit a Certificate of Insurance for General Liability, Workers Compensation, and Vehicle insurance with the bid submittal. Preference is given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa.
