The scope of work includes removing and replacing existing gabion basket retaining walls at the southwest and northeast corners of the Tucker Bridge structure, construction of a concrete footing placed directly on exposed rock surfaces, supply and installation of rock dowels, excavation of fill material and reinstatement with compacted Granular 'A', supply and placement of unshrinkable backfill as required, removal and replacement of sections of existing concrete sidewalk and monolithic curb on grade at the southwest corner, removal, salvage, and reinstatement of steel beam guiderail and posts, and removal and replacement of asphalt full depth as required. The work also involves providing suitable environmental protection, erosion and sediment control measures, implementation of localized dewatering measures, maintenance and protection of existing utilities, provision of traffic control measures to maintain a single alternating lane of traffic and pedestrian access at all times, and reinstatement of the site to pre-construction conditions after completion of all work.
