The Savannah Airport Commission (SAC) is soliciting proposals from qualified electrical contractors to provide the installation of electrical feeders from an existing pad-mounted generator to an existing manual transfer switch located at Fuel Farm. The selected firm shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services necessary to complete the work. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the installation of new electrical feeders and associated equipment, procurement of all specified materials, and completion of all installation, testing, and commissioning activities in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices. The selected provider will be responsible for delivering a reliable and fully functional system and for supplying all equipment, labor, management, materials, and infrastructure required to successfully complete the project. The Savannah Airport Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive informalities and irregularities in the bids received. The contractor shall provide a complete and operational installation including, but not limited to, the following tasks: 1. Electrical Feeder Installation o Install new electrical feeders from the existing pad-mounted generator to the existing manual transfer switch. o Provide all required terminations, copper connectors, grounding, labeling, and testing. 2. Equipment Furnished and Installed o The contractor shall furnish and install the following equipment: - 1 each NEMA 4X, 600V, 175A breaker enclosure - 1 each 150 kVA, NEMA 3R, 480V -> 120/208V transformer - 1 each NEMA 4X, 600V, 400A breaker enclosure - 2 each Strut-mounted equipment racks for breaker enclosures (one on each side of pad-mount transformer) - PVC underground conduit system - Galvanized steel conduit stub-ups at equipment locations - 1 each 60A, 208V, single-phase circuit from existing panel to generator load center - Copper connectors, fittings, hardware, and accessories as required 3. Conduit & Raceway System o Install underground PVC conduit per NEC and local requirements. o Provide galvanized rigid steel conduit for all above-grade stub-ups. o Ensure proper depth, bedding, marking tape, and backfill per airport and code requirements. 4. Structural & Mounting Requirements o Install two strut-type equipment racks adjacent to the pad-mounted transformer. o Mount breaker enclosures securely to racks per manufacturer recommendations. o Ensure all equipment is level, plumb, and accessible for maintenance. 5. Circuit Installation o Provide and install a 60A, 208V, single-phase circuit from an existing electrical panel to the generator load center. o Include breaker, wiring, conduit, terminations, and labeling. 6. Testing & Commissioning o Perform insulation resistance testing, torque checks, and functional verification. o Coordinate with Savannah Airport Commission personnel for energization. o Provide as-built documentation and equipment submittals.
